Yogurt or dahi, is made from cow/buffalo milk and a bit of actual yogurt which is the starter for this process. I recall my grandmother making a fresh bowl every morning and also clearly remember her removing a spoonful or two (to be used for the next day’s preparation) before serving it at the table.
