Like tofu, tempeh is made from fermented soya beans, but it has a nuttier, coarser texture. You can buy tempeh chilled, but I tend to buy it frozen in large blocks so I can simply slice off the amount needed.

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp dark soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp clear honey
  • 1 tbsp

Method

  1. Mix together the soy sauce, honey, sunflower oil and sesame oil in a shallow dish. Add the tempeh and turn to coat it in the marinade, then leave to marinate for 1 hour, or until ready to use — the longer the better.
