One of the joys of living in the tropics is the constant visual treat provided by the profusion of exotic flowers, particularly the hibiscus. Single blossoms, double blossoms; scarlet, pink, white and yellow. They garnish food, they grace a table and make it instantly festive. One tucked behind the correct ear is all the adornment an island female needs.
Few know that the flower is edible. For this nectar, use the ordinary, single scarlet blooms.
