Ingredients

  • ½ cup rice
  • 2 qts. salted boiling water

Method

Wash rice in cold water. Add it slowly to the rapidly boiling water. Stir once to prevent sticking and cook for 20 minutes. Drain through colander and run hot water to wash off extra starch. Then cover colander with cloth and set over deep pan of boiling water to steam and dry out or “fluff.”
