Ingredients

  • 3 to 4 lbs. beef, cooked in soup
  • 4 peppercorns
  • 3 tablespoon butter
  • Celery tops and parsley
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • ½ cup soup stock
  • 1 bay leaf
  • Salt to taste

Method

Slightly brown the beef in melted butter. Add other ingredients and simmer over low heat until the liquid is absorbed. Keep meat tightly covered. Turn several times during cooking.
