Young Chicken with Vegetables

Ingredients

  • 1 broiler, quartered
  • 1 carrot
  • Salt
  • ½ cup green peas
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • 4 stalks asparagus
  • 1 bouillon cube
  • 4 cauliflower flowerets
  • 1 teaspoon parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon dill, chopped

Method

Blanch vegetables with hot water. Place vegetables in bottom of kettle, add butter. Cover with chicken. Salt to taste. Add the bouillon cube and simmer covered for 40 to 50 minutes, until chicken is tender.
