Stuffed Baked Fish

Nadziewana Pieczona Ryba

Ingredients

  • 1 pike or trout

Stuffing

  • 1 ½ lbs. dry bread
  • 1 cup mushrooms
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 3 onions, chopped
  • ½ teaspoon thyme
  • 3 apples, chopped
  • ½ cup butter
  • 3 stalks celery, chopped
  • Salt and pepper

Method

Saute onion and celery in butter until yellow. Moisten bread and squeeze out water. Combine ingredients and mix thoroughly. Stuff the cleaned fish. Brush with butter and bake in 350° oven for one hour. Serve with any good sauce.
