Fish Patties

  • 2 cups fish meat
  • Salt and pepper
  • 2 slices dry bread
  • Dash of ground mace
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 onions
  • Bread crumbs
  • Butter for sauteing


Chop meat fine. Moisten bread with milk and squeeze dry. Fry onion in butter until transparent. Mix all ingredients thoroughly. Make cutlets in the palm of your hand. Dip in bread crumbs and saute in butter. Serve with tartar sauce or horseradish with whipped cream.
