Buraki

Ingredients

  • 6 cooked beets
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ¼ teaspoon caraway seed

Method

Peel and grate cooked beets. Melt butter, add flour and bring to boiling point. Add vinegar, salt, sugar and caraway seeds. Mix with beets and boil for 2 or 3 minutes. Add sour cream, heat and serve.
