Apples

Ingredients

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 12 sliced apples
  • 1 cup water
  • Grated rind of lemon

Method

Boil sugar and water to thick syrup. Add apple slices and boil slowly until glossy. Add grated rind. Cool and spread on partially baked pastry. Return pastry to oven for 20 minutes.
