Gooseberry Compote

Kompot z Agrestu

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. under-ripe gooseberries
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 inch stick cinnamon

Method

Scald the clean berries with boiling water and strain. Make syrup of sugar, water and cinnamon stick. Add gooseberries, bring to a boil. Remove from fire and cool.
