This recipe comes from the second volume of the Strathalbyn Cookery Book. Originally from northern England, these small pastries are hard to find commercially in Australia, but they are easy to make if you use a good-quality, shop-bought pastry. Many versions of this recipe use flaky pastry, but Myra stipulates puff.
