Sometime in about the mid-1960s, when Ruth was president of the Ulladulla primary school auxiliary, the organisation published a cookbook of ‘tried and tested’ recipes donated by local homemakers and selected for their variety, economy and simplicity. Marg is not too sure how much money The Best of Good Taste raised, but it was successful enough to be followed by a second volume in 1974.
