This recipe is a twist on the classic meatloaf found in just about every Australian community cookbook in the 1970s and early 1980s. I chose it from all the others because of its unusual topping, which takes only moments to make and comes up light and golden. For an economical outlay, this recipe also provides more than enough to feed at least four people.
