Day lilies are incredibly sweet, like honey. Pick unsprayed ones once they have opened for those brief few hours. Remove the stamens and make sure there are no insects.
Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the mustard or other greens, garlic, and chile, with sea salt to taste. After 5 or so minutes when the greens are wilted, add the day lilies on top and let them wilt also.
Serve the lilies hot with steamed rice or boiled tapioca.
