These gingerbread bars are a mix between gingerbread cut-out cookies and brownies. You can serve them without frosting with your afternoon tea, or frost them to create a sweeter, more festive version that’s worth sharing with friends for dessert.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup [220 g] unsalted butter

Method

Preheat the oven to 350°F [180°C]. Line a 9-by-13-in [23-by-33-cm] baking pan with parchment paper.
