Stollen is a boozy German fruitcake that’s oftentimes rolled in powdered sugar and served around Christmastime. My Grandma Betty once told me that they would make stollen for Christmas when she was a kid, and it was one of the only times (aside from when they’d make sauerkraut) that her dad would help out in the kitchen since it’s so much work.
