Who can resist a chocolate chip cookie? Not me. Especially if it is warm from the oven and the chocolate is soft to the point of melting. There is a hotel I sometimes stay in which always gives customers a hot choc-chip cookie as they are checking in. Intrigued, I asked about this and discovered that each receptionist has a microwave under the counter and slips a pre-cooked cookie, in a paper packet, into the microwave for 30 seconds – enough to warm the cookie and give it that freshly-bake
