Ricciarelli with Candied Peel

This recipe was given to me by my great friend and colleague Liza, the head pastry chef at The Ivy, who has taught me an enormous amount. She sent me the recipe for these ricciarelli with a note saying they were so simple even my toddler daughter, Luna, could make them. Well, I tried and failed, again and again, wracking my brains as to why they weren’t working, and reluctant to admit my failings to her. Eventually I ‘fessed up and together we worked it out – I had substitu
