Be prepared to tread on crumbs around the table after eating sbriciolona. Sbriciolare is Italian for ‘crumble’, & that’s exactly what the name implies: crumbly. This is beautiful with sweetened whipped or thick cream that the crumbs can cling to, or just with a glass of something moscato-ish. In Venice, fragolino, a red or white sweet wine, is what they like to drink.
