Also known as horse ear, or ma yi 馬耳, this football- or ox tongue–shaped, slightly sweet doughnut has always been one of my favorites for breakfast. Every morning on my way to work in Hong Kong, I would pass by the congee shop where I would buy this freshly fried pastry and enjoy it with an HK Milk Tea or warm Soy Milk.
