Ground up peanuts in a pot, that’s all there is to peanut butter. For chunky peanut butter, stir in some finely chopped roasted peanuts. Or season it with sambal, toasted coconut, fried onion, or garlic.

  • 2 ⅔ cup (350 grams) unsalted peanuts

Method

ROAST the peanuts (in 2 batches) in a dry frying pan until brown. Turn them onto a plate and allow to cool.

PROCESS the peanuts in the food processor, or in batches in the chopper of the immersion blender, until very finely ground. Continue grinding until the oil is released and the peanut butter is creamy and nearly smooth.
