  • About

Stroganoff sauce has its origins in Russia and was named after the Stroganov family and for that reason alone, a splash of vodka wouldn’t go amiss. If you don’t have vodka, you can use white wine or brandy instead.

Ingredients

  • 6 eggs
  • 1 onion
  • 1 small red bell pepper

Method

BOIL the eggs for 7 minutes until they are just hard. Meanwhile, finely chop the onion. Cut the bell pepper into thin strips and the mushrooms into slices.

HEAT the olive oil in a frying pan. Fry the onion with the bell pepper and the mushrooms for 4 minutes.

ADD the tomato paste and the paprika and fry 1 minute more. Pour in the vodka and stir until smooth.
