This koftay recipe is another family favourite. Ammi mixes minced chicken and minced beef to make the meatballs. She claims that mixing chicken keeps the meatballs soft when cooked.
In our family, we love the combination of these meithi kay koftay served with nauratan chutney, masoor daal, and chapati.
Grind both the minced meats together in a meat grinder until the mixture becomes smooth.
Add all the ingredients of set 1, and mix again for a few seconds.
Make round meatballs (koftay) out of the mixture.
In a separate pot, fry the sliced onions until they become golden-brown.
Add ginger paste and garlic paste, and cook for a few seconds.
