Ammi’s haleem or khichra recipe is one of my favourite meals. I have NEVER cooked haleem any other way. Haleem is a complete meal on its own as it is made with lentils, grains, and meat. Everything is slow-cooked and blended together. It can be devoured with a spoon on its own, which is how we used to eat it until we were introduced to eating it with naan.
