Nihari is a stew from the Indian subcontinent consisting of slow-cooked beef shanks with bone marrow. Ammi sometimes makes nihari using chicken. Nihari is my ABSOLUTE favourite Pakistani dish. I can eat this meal for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and then breakfast again, and so on. Whenever there is leftover nihari in the refrigerator, I will not eat anything else.
