This recipe is a family favourite, one of the most frequently made lunch items in our home. This recipe is Nishi Khala’s method of making taheri.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Basmati Rice (pre-soaked for 30 minutes)
  • 2 medium Potatoes (cut into 4 pieces)
  • 3 m

Method

Fry onions until they become pink.

Add tomatoes, all the spices, ginger paste, garlic paste, and salt.

Cook for a few minutes until the tomatoes are done, and the oil separates from the gravy (bhunai).

Add potatoes and ½ cup of water. Cook (covered) on low heat
