Bread Besan ki roti is a soft flatbread made with gram flour. Topped with butter or desi ghee, this bread is usually devoured with lehsan mirch ki chutney alongside other chutneys and pickles. Ammi would always cook kaddu ki bhujia (pumpkin) alongside this bread.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Gram Flour
  • cups Whole-Wheat Flour
  • 1 med

Method

Mix all dry ingredients first, and then knead the dough with all the other ingredients (the mixture should be a little harder than the usual chapati/paratha dough).

Let the dough rest for at least half an hour.

Roll the bread just as you would with chapati, but it should be thicker than a regular chapati.
