This recipe of vermicelli is another family favourite. It is a dairy-free version of vermicelli as it is cooked in sugar syrup instead of milk.
Fry the green cardamoms in oil for a few seconds, then add the vermicelli and fry on low heat until it becomes golden.
In a separate pot, bring the water to a boil.
Add sugar and boil for another 5 minutes.
Add this sugar syrup (sheera) in the fried vermicelli, and cook until the liquid dries slightly (do not dry it completely).
