  • About

I ate this in France for lunch with my mother. The restaurant was empty and huge and overlooked a very wide, muddy river with a sluggish flow, its banks dotted with enormous willows that trailed their branches in the current. I cannot, however, remember for the life of me where it was. We ate by a window that magnified the hot sun and got very drunk on cold Chablis. This is a good lunch eaten simply with bread or some thin ham.
