This is a cheater’s harissa using dried chili flakes and tomato paste. It’s on the mild side, so heat seekers may want to add more spice.
In a food processor, pulse garlic until minced. Add remaining ingredients, blend, scrape sides, and blend again until smooth. Transfer to a glass jar or airtight container and store in refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
