A hearty, textural finisher I created one Christmas Eve for the following morning’s breakfast. Try the topping on hot oatmeal with maple syrup and bananas, or warm grains with tamari, sesame oil, and sliced scallions; add crunch factor to salads, curries, and soups; sprinkle on yogurt, ice cream, and rice pudding; or simply eat out of hand as trail mix. Reduce or increase the amounts according to your needs and experiment with the nuts and seeds you have handy.
