This cake is the perfect example of how you can replace sugars and standard baking ingredients with healthier options, and make a delicious frosting without using the conventional milk, butter and powdered sugar.

Ingredients

Cake

  • cups spelt flour (or all-purpose flour)
  • teaspoons bicarbonate of soda

Method

Soak the nuts for the frosting in water overnight or for 4 hours minimum. Once you’re ready to work with them, drain and rinse them.

Preheat the oven to 180 °C. Grease a 25 cm bowl
