  • About

A bloomer is a traditional type of British bread made from a tight, supportive dough that, for centuries, was cooked on the base of a wood-fired oven. The slashes in the top of the loaf allow it to expand when baking and also look very attractive. The slightly nutty flavour of the poppy seeds adds to the flavour of the bread. This bread is great for sandwiches, try hand cut ham, tomatoes and hot mustard.
