  • About

Crumble is another popular dessert, for which you can use practically any seasonal fruit. This is an autumnal version with plums and blackberries. You can have the crumble made up ready to pop in the oven after you have cooked your main course, and it can bake in the falling temperature while you are eating.

Ingredients

  • 180 g / oz/generous cup plain (all-purpose) flour
  • 125

Method

  1. Build up the fire in the oven until the temperature reaches 190°C/375°F. This will take about 40 minutes. Push the embers to the back of the oven, using a metal peel or coal hook. Close the door to retain the heat.
