Many people will have heard of the annual Tour de France bicycle race, but fewer will have heard of another that goes from Paris to Brest and back and takes place every four years; the race first took place in 1891 (making it one of the oldest cycling events). This choux pastry delight was baked to commemorate the race, with its wheel-shaped pastry and super-light filling The pastry remains popular today and is sold in French pâtisseries.
