This is a popular and mouthwatering Bihari street snack. Traditionally served in a rolled cone of newspaper, it is a delicious savoury mix of puffed rice and Bombay mix with crunchy peanuts, fresh onions, cucumbers, tomatoes and green chillies.
For jhalmuri, the puffed rice needs to be very crisp. If it is not crisp, you can dry it out in a hot pan, tossing it with a pinch of salt until all the moisture has evaporated. Set aside.
