  • About

This is a typically Bihari dish of wholewheat dough balls stuffed with a spicy filling, served alongside chokha, a dish of spiced mashed potatoes, aubergine/eggplant and tomatoes. It is a popular evening snack, but filling enough to be a complete meal. Traditionally, the litti would be roasted over charcoal, but it is more convenient to fry or bake them.
