This raita is traditionally served with the biryanis of Hyderabadi cuisine, but it is also good with pulao or any Indian meal. Flavoured with garlic and roasted ground cumin, it is an easy and quick raita to make. If you like, you can add chopped onion and cucumber too, to add to the flavour.
In a mixing bowl, combine the yogurt with the ginger-garlic paste and whisk until smooth.
Heat the oil in a small pan over a medium heat, add the chopped garlic and sauté until golden. Remove from the pan and let cool.
Add the fried garlic along with the remaining ingredients to the yogurt mixture and mix well. Taste for seasoning. (If adding any extra ingredients, add them at t
