A simple, delicious bread made with refined wheat flour, this is traditionally cooked in a charcoal or gas tandoor oven, but I have given you a regular oven method here for ease.

Ingredients

  • 500 g/1 lb 2 oz/4 cups refined white/self-raising flou

Method

Sift the flour with the salt and baking powder in a large bowl.

Break the egg into a separate small bowl, add the sugar and milk, and mix well.

Make a well in the flour mixture and slowly add the water mixing to incorporate, then add the egg mixture and mix well. Knead until you have a soft and smooth dough that does not stick to your fingers. Cover with a damp cloth and set asi
