  • About
Campania’s Taurasi DOCG is a red, made mainly from Aglianico. The Falerno del Massico DOC red is a patient re-creation of the Roman Falernum by the Avallone family, made from Aglianico, Primitivo and Piedirosso. There is a white Falerno too, made from Falanghina. Greco di Tufo DOC is a golden yellow ‘white’, made mainly near Avellino from the Greco grape by Mastroberardilo. Fiano di Avellino is a fine white wine made from a variety of grapes, including of course Fiano, some Greco and some Trebbiano Toscano. Other drinks made in Campania include anisetta, Strega, the famous herb liqueur from Benevento, and Limoncello - made in Naples from the local Amalfi coast lemons and mandarins.
