These are best served at or near room temperature, 72°F [22°C] or warm if that’s your personal preference. Since so many of them contain butter, they taste best and have the best mouthfeel when the butter is at least at room temperature. If the butter is cold, it feels dry in the mouth initially. The cream fillings and buttercreams in these recipes will be smooth and tasty at room temperature.
