  • About
The mixing directions in these recipes will often instruct you to scrape down the sides of the mixing bowl to make sure that all of the precious ingredients are incorporated into the dough or batter. Typical silicone kitchen spatulas will do the trick. However, professional bakers also like something we call plastic scrapers or plastic cards. They have a rounded side that makes it easy to scrape a bowl. We also find them handy for lots of other baking needs, like scraping flour off work areas. If you like equipment, you might look for one. They’re inexpensive.
