Sesame seeds

Sesame seeds are tiny, flat, oval seeds. They may be black, tan, or ivory. They are somewhat oily, with a rich, nutty flavor. Sesame seeds are sold whole, hulled or unhulled, toasted, and as a paste (also known as tahini).
