  • About

The second biggest Muslim festival, also called Bakr-Id in Bangladesh. This commemorates the prophet Abraham’s willingness to sacrifice his son to Allah. The son was changed into a lamb, bakri, which was sacrificed. Animals are still sacrificed on this occasion and their meat is called korbani, sacrificial meat.
