Pianist, film director and comic book author, Filipe Melo developed a passion for music from an early age, especially for improvisation and the language of jazz. Going on to become a composer, arranger and orchestrator, he has worked with musicians from a range of genres such as Benny Golson, Omer Avital, Peter Bernstein, Deolinda, Legendary Tigerman, Camané and Carlos do Carmo among others. His short film I’ll see you in My Dreams won the Fantasporto, the Méliès d’Or and other international awards.
