Prepping a Sourdough Starter to Make a Loaf

Gather all your ingredients and tools (A).
Measure your sourdough starter and water (B).
Pour your water over the starter (C) and break up the starter with your fingers (D).
Using a wooden spoon, combine the starter and water (E).
Then, add the flour and mix with the wooden spoon until the mixture is thoroughly combined (F-I).
Transfer the mixture to an airtight container (J-K).
Let ferment at room temperature according to the recipe’s directions (L).
