A type of orange of Japanese origin, the satsuma belongs to the same group of “easy-peelers” as the clementine. Pale orange and the shape of a slightly flattened sphere, it is juicy, slightly tart and almost seedless. Peel and eat it raw, or use it in fruit salads, jams and marmalades.
