A small bread, about one-third the size of a standard, pound-and-a-half loaf; usually weighs between eight and ten ounces and is a good size for sweet breads as well as for any bread to be served in a basket or on a small cutting board at the table. Demi pans, measuring 6 inches by 3 inches by 2 inches, are available in kitchen specialty shops and bakery supply houses.
