Chinese Broccoli (Brassica oleracea var alboglabra), Chinese Kale, Gai Lan

The leaves have a bluish-green sheen and the flowers in the middle of the plant are white. The stalk is like that of broccoli but the taste is more reminiscent of asparagus. Its popularity with southern Chinese is only second to choi sum.
